The goal of Freemasonry is to enhance and strengthen the character of the individual man. As Masons, history, tradition, and pride are central concepts in our lives. Masonry is the oldest fraternity in the world, and the Masonry we know today grew out of the guilds of stonemasons who built the castles and cathedrals of the Middle Ages. Many of our country’s Founding Fathers were Masons, including Benjamin Franklin and George Washington. From presidents, astronauts, and sports heroes to inventors and CEOs, millions of Masons have made our country what it is today. The three Great Principles by which we stand are Brotherly Love, Relief, and Truth. Freemasons are taught to practice charity and to care, not only for their own, but also for the community as a whole, both by charitable giving, and by voluntary efforts and works as individuals.
As a provider of a quality Blue Lodge program that teaches and promotes the noble tenets of Freemasonry, Budleigh Lodge is dedicated to attracting good men who want to realize greatness through fellowship with like minded and principled men. Our brethren seek opportunities to improve themselves through Masonic education, a spirit of charity, and leadership in our Masonic and local communities.
Budleigh Lodge A.F. & A.M. was chartered on December 27, 1920 and is now part of the 10th Masonic District. We meet on the SECOND Thursday of the Month in the Beverly Masonic Apartments. Please visit our Announcements page or Calendar for meeting and event details.
